CARRERA PANAMERICANA 1952
This was a challenging road race set in Mexico on the Pan-American Highway which opened in 1950. In 1952, the new Sports car category was won by Karl Kling and Hans Klenk in their Mercedes- Benz 300SL. American Chuck Stevenson won the Stock car category in his Lincoln Capri – the first of two consecutive victories.
